We’re Howard and Karen, and together with our three adult children—Faith, Rachel, and Justin—we couldn’t be more excited to share this special place with you. Crow Hollow isn’t just a ranch to us; it’s a sanctuary. It’s where we’ve found peace, connection, and unforgettable moments with the people who matter most.
Our journey to Crow Hollow began over 20 years ago. We longed for a retreat, a place to slow down and escape the chaos of Southern California. After years of searching, we finally arrived in Montana’s breathtaking Paradise Valley. It was as if the landscape itself called to us—towering 10,000-foot peaks, a winding creek, and endless forests of pine, aspen, and cottonwood trees. The moment we stepped onto the porch, with the creek whispering below and the mountains stretching endlessly before us, we knew we had found the one.
Location. Location. Location.
The Yellowstone River carved Paradise Valley millions of years ago, flanked by the Beartooth Absaroka Mountains to the east and Gallatin National Forest to the west. At its southern edge lies Yellowstone National Park, with the river flowing north to Livingston. This greater Yellowstone ecosystem perfectly blended the untamed beauty we sought with proximity to a charming town, shops, and a major airport. It took over 10 years of searching, but we finally found everything we dreamed of!
A Labor of Love
The ranch needed work, but we saw its potential and spent the next decade pouring our hearts into every detail. Summers became a time of creativity and connection, as friends and family joined us to bring our vision to life. We built cabins, landscaped gathering spaces, and created intimate spots to read, reflect, or simply take in the beauty. Each year, we came together to cook in the farmhouse, share meals by the creek, stargaze late into the night, and make memories that felt timeless.
